Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Characters and Voice Cast (Japanese and English)
The short version
Edgerunners 2 has an all-new cast led by four people: Roman Carax, the netrunner D, Talia Yang and the washed-up edgerunner Weak "King" Kingsley. They are voiced by Momoka Terasawa, Koki Uchiyama, Akari Kito and Kentaro Tone in Japanese, and Valeria Rodriguez, Nazeeh Tarsha, Kimoy Lee and Clancy Brown in English.

The four leads#
A new story brings a new cast, and none of the first series' crew leads this one. Japanese voice first, English second.
- Roman Carax: Momoka Terasawa, Valeria Rodriguez. A young cinephile with a camera, chasing real stories in a city that has moved on to braindances. Roman is twelve, and the series treats him as its eyes. Birthday July 20.
- D: Koki Uchiyama, Nazeeh Tarsha. A nomad from the Snake Nation with sharp technical skills and a sharper hunger for revenge. Birthday October 1.
- Talia Yang: Akari Kito, Kimoy Lee. Raised in corpo towers and hardened in Maelstrom's grip, fiercely independent and fond of chrome. Birthday April 2.
- Weak "King" Kingsley: Kentaro Tone, Clancy Brown. A veteran edgerunner who once went by King and now lives in the shadow of that name. Birthday December 30.
The people around them#
The supporting cast is small and almost all of it matters to the plot. Opinion: the corporate side of the cast (Avida, Kiril, Richard) is where the series is at its sharpest.
- Avida Yang: Akemi Okamura, Cesili Williams. Talia's mother and King's old flame, a former jazz singer and corpo insider, now married to a Kang Tao executive.
- Kiril Yang: Yasunori Matsumoto, Daniel Wu. A Kang Tao executive with a cold, composed manner. Talia's father and Avida's husband.
- Richard: Naoya Uchida, Frank Todaro. A Kang Tao executive and Kiril's superior.
- Kitano: Nobuo Tobita, Tohoru Masamune. An Arasaka employee and researcher.
- Sal Bigelow: Takashi Matsuyama, Bernardo de Paula. Owner of Sal Bigelow's Braindance Paradise, where Roman sells footage. He first appeared in the Cyberpunk 2077 comic Big City Dreams.
- Jessie: Miho Okasaki, Giselle Fernandez. A braindance engineer who works at Sal's shop.
King's old crew#
Three people ride with Weak Kingsley when the series starts: Miguel, a techie, Emily, a solo, and Meshuga, a netrunner.
- Miguel: Kazuma Miki, Kevin Andrew Rivera.
- Emily: Mirei Takebe, Wendee Lee.
- Meshuga: Shuhei Sakaguchi, Daniel Bonjour.
Spoilers Characters who show up later
Capri (Aoi Koga, Brittany Lauda) is a rogue engram that Arasaka built for Project Capricorn, and she is the reason a datashard matters. Kyoko (Wasabi Mizuta, E. G. Daily) is a medtech and former Arasaka researcher who led Capricorn's development. Omi (Ami Maeshima, Analesa Fisher) is a surviving member of D's Snake Nation clan and his old friend. Yupi (Yuko Natsuyoshi, Cat Protano) is a wealthy girl who becomes D's main backer after falling for his campaign against Arasaka.
Arasaka intelligence officer Kate Miller appears in the back half of the series and explains why D's camp was hit. And there is a cameo that is not a character at all: Hideo Kojima voices Hideyoshi Oshima, a braindance producer, in the same role he played in Cyberpunk 2077.
Fixer's notes#
If you want the full episode-by-episode, go to the Edgerunners 2 episode guide. If you want to see how the first series' cast compares, Lucy and Rebecca are the two to read.
Opinion: Weak Kingsley is the character to watch. Season 1 spent ten episodes on a kid betting everything on chrome. This one starts with a man who made that bet years ago and is still around to see what it cost.
