Why Rebecca hits so hard#
She is the loudest, funniest person in the crew, and the show uses that against you. Rebecca is all volume and loyalty, a short girl with two guns who treats her brother like a nuisance she would die for. Fans love her because the noise is how she says the things she cannot say.
Everything she does is loud, and the show uses every bit of it.
Who Rebecca is#
Rebecca is the impulsive, loyal gunner of Maine's crew. The official description calls her fiery and short, always ready to lend a hand or a shotgun to the cause. She is Pilar's younger sister, and the two fight constantly.
She meets David in episode 3, during a heist on an Arasaka executive's driver, and flirts with him right away. In episode 4 she runs David through target practice and hits every mark with a gun in each hand. Show-off. She earned it.
Spoilers What she does in the story
Pilar is killed by a cyberpsycho in episode 4. Rebecca charges it and is saved from the same fate only because Maine tackles her. After David kills it, she keeps shooting the body.
After Maine and Dorio die, she and Falco are what is left of the muscle. In the last two episodes she stays with David through the assault on Arasaka Tower. Adam Smasher kills her in the firefight.
How old is Rebecca#
Rebecca is around 20 in 2075 and 2076, per series creator Rafał Jaki (Reddit, Sep 14, 2022). Her brother Pilar is older.
Behind the character#
Rebecca's design is Studio Trigger's, and the character is one of the studio's most recognizable.
Her pink PK DICK tattoo is a reference to the science fiction writer Philip K. Dick. Her design has since turned up in Guilty Gear Strive as palettes for other characters, and she was a playable character in the Wuthering Waves crossover event of June 8 to July 9, 2026.
The prequel manga#
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS follows Rebecca and Pilar before they joined David's crew. It started on Kadokawa's Comic Alive+ website on December 13, 2024, and Dark Horse Comics publishes the English paperback. Cyberpunk.net describes it as the first manga set in the anime's world.
If Rebecca is why you watched, this is the next thing to read. Cyberpunk.net's blurb says the pair follow in their father's footsteps to become legendary edgerunners, and cause chaos on the way.
Fixer's notes#
In Cyberpunk 2077, V can find Rebecca's custom shotgun Guts at Memorial Park. Go look, after you finish the series. She also appears on a perk icon in the game as of patch 2.0.
Tabletop players: build her as a Solo who leans on gun skill rather than chrome, and pair her with a Techie for Pilar. The rest of the crew is on the Lucy page and the Edgerunners hub.
