Cyberpunk 2077 Romance Options: Judy, Panam, River, Kerry and Requirements

The rules#

Who will date V comes down to two settings: body type and voice. Lifepath changes nothing. Match the body type and voice a character wants and the romance opens.

Two romances can run side by side without a penalty. A masculine V gets Panam and Kerry, a feminine V gets Judy and River. You can still decline either one before the encounter or just after it.

Finishing a love interest's side quests also gives you their apartment. Since Update 2.1 you can invite a partner to hang out in most of your rented apartments, which triggers the quest I Really Want to Stay at Your House. Opinion: worth doing once, if only to see your partner off the clock.

Judy Álvarez#

Judy is a Mox techie and braindance editor. You need a feminine body and a feminine voice. Her quests are Both Sides, Now, Ex-Factor, Talkin' 'bout a Revolution, Pisces and Pyramid Song.

Opinion: the softest touch of the four.

Panam Palmer#

Panam is an ex-nomad turned mercenary, tied to the Aldecaldos clan. You need a masculine body, and any voice works. Her quests are Riders on the Storm, With a Little Help from My Friends and Queen of the Highway.

Our read: the loudest, funniest and most loyal. If you want a partner who will drive through a wall for you, this is the one.

River Ward#

River is an NCPD detective. You need a feminine body, and voice does not matter. His quests are I Fought the Law, The Hunt and Following the River.

Our read: the quiet one, a cop who does the right thing and says very little about it.

Kerry Eurodyne#

Kerry is a rockerboy and a former member of Samurai. You need a masculine body and a masculine voice. His quests are Rebel! Rebel!, I Don't Wanna Hear It, Off the Leash and Boat Drinks.

Opinion: the celebrity with the baggage, and he knows it.

Flings and one-time encounters#

Meredith Stout, a Militech operative manager, is open to any V. In The Pickup you have to meet her and not insult her, and a violent outcome with the Maelstromers follows. Reply nicely when she texts in Act 2 and Venus in Furs starts.

Alt Cunningham happens automatically through Johnny's memories in Never Fade Away. Johnny himself romances Ruby Collins in Chippin' In and Rogue in Blistering Love while controlling V's body. Four joytoys can be hired regardless of gender: Charlene Fox and Dusty Lowe on Jig-Jig Street for 100 eddies each, and Brittany Hayes and Logan Scott at Dark Matter for 3,000 each.

Fixer's notes#

Opinion: pick body type and voice with the romance you want in mind. Those two settings are the whole gate, and lifepath is free to choose on taste.

Johnny never becomes a partner. His own flings with Ruby and Rogue happen in scenes where he controls V's body, so no, you cannot romance the guy in your head, whatever the memes say.
