Misty Olszewski in Cyberpunk 2077: Tarot Reader, Jackie's Girlfriend, V's Anchor

Misty Olszewski is the owner of Misty's Esoterica in Little China, Watson, a New Age shopkeeper and tarot reader who is Jackie Welles's girlfriend and Viktor Vektor's landlady. Erica Lindbeck voices her in English.

The short version#
Misty sells incense, crystals and tarot readings from a shop on Urmland Street, and she is the calmest person V will meet in Watson. Her shop is also the reason Viktor Vektor has a clinic: he rents the basement behind it.
She is a friend first and a plot device never. That is rarer in this game than it should be.
Who she is#
Misty grew up in Heywood and has family in Warsaw. She was a childhood friend of Jackie Welles, reconnected with him as an adult, and by 2077 the two had been together for nearly a year. His mother, Mama Welles, never warmed to the match.
She opened her shop in Little China, then took in Vik as a tenant. They have been close ever since. She is, in the words of CD Projekt RED's story director Marcin Blacha, a clever girl who stands behind the counter half the time while also working as a nurse.
What she does in the story#
Jackie takes V to meet her and Vik early in The Ripperdoc, and the shop becomes a safe place on the map. She gives tarot readings of V's path, which the game uses as a mirror for your choices.
- Playing for Time: After Konpeki Plaza, she takes V back to her apartment and supplies omega blockers and pseudoendotrizine to manage the engram.
- Heroes: Misty waits outside Jackie's garage when V comes looking for something for the ofrenda. V can persuade her to attend despite Mama Welles's disapproval.
- Nocturne Op55N1: After V meets Hanako Arasaka at Embers, Misty takes V to the rooftop of her shop where she and Jackie used to sit before big jobs.
Spoilers Jackie's ofrenda and her last reading
Jackie dies in the escape from Konpeki Plaza. Misty is who gets the worst of it quietly: V can talk to her about his death in her apartment, and later in Heroes she is the one who stands outside his garage looking at his things.
At the rooftop in Nocturne Op55N1 she gives V a final tarot reading before the ending call. If V sides with Arasaka, Viktor later reveals that Misty has left for Warsaw.
In the 2079 epilogue, if V had the Relic surgically removed at Langley and returns to Night City, Zetatech has bought her shop and turned it into a ripper clinic. Vik says she was unhappy and left. Later she turns up after V is mugged and says she is going to Poland. It is a polite goodbye to a city that ate her friends.
Where to find her#
Her shop is on Urmland Street in Little China, and Vik's clinic is in the basement behind it. Besides the quests above, she appears in the side jobs Fool on the Hill and Tomorrow Never Knows, so check back after the main story beats.
Our read: if you only ever pass through for the plot beats, you are missing the part of the game that is about people instead of heists.
Fixer's notes#
Opinion: the endings are named for tarot cards (The Sun, The Star, The Devil, Temperance, The Tower), and Misty is the character who reads tarot. Whether CD Projekt RED meant her as the game's narrator is not stated anywhere; it reads that way anyway.
Fun trivia: her look is an homage to Pris Stratton from Blade Runner, and her surname is technically masculine in Polish (the feminine form is Olszewska), a common quirk in families abroad.
What players miss: she is a romance-free, lore-light character who still gives the most human beats in the Jackie arc. Do Heroes before you leave Watson. At the table, a Misty is the contact who knows everyone and sells nothing dangerous, a good anchor for a Cyberpunk RED crew's home turf.
