Kerry Eurodyne: Samurai Co-Founder and Rockerboy in Cyberpunk 2077
The short version
Kerry Eurodyne is the Samurai co-founder who outlived Johnny Silverhand and became a solo rockerboy star. In Cyberpunk 2077 he is voiced by Matthew Yang King, and a V with a masculine body and a masculine voice can romance him.

The man who stayed#
Kerry was Johnny Silverhand's best friend and co-founder of Samurai. He sang, played lead and rhythm guitar, and kept trying to leave the band for a solo career before Johnny's politics pulled him back. Two best friends, one mic, and only one of them gets to grow old.
After the band split in 2008 he spent two years in the Philippines on Masbate, then came back to the charts. In 2012 he and Johnny quietly bought the Grand Illusion club. By 2077 his albums have gone platinum. Our read: he is Johnny's survivor-guilt in a leather jacket.
Kerry in 2077#
He lives in a villa in Westbrook and records for MSM Records. He has an ex-wife, Louise, and two children he rarely sees. When the pressure gets too much, he goes to see his guru in Tangalan.
Spoilers Meeting Kerry
V meets him through Johnny, who wants to see his old friend. Kerry, who has been the subject of tabloid rumors about a suicide attempt, answers a guitar riff in his shower with a loaded gun. Holdin' On follows from there and includes a reunion of Samurai, where V decides which bandmate stays.
His quests#
Kerry's side jobs run in order as a short arc. Opinion: they are some of the funniest and saddest hours in the game, often in the same scene.
- Holdin' On: The introduction and the Samurai reunion gig.
- Rebel! Rebel!: Kerry hires V as backup to sabotage a Japanese pop group that covered his song without asking.
- I Don't Wanna Hear It: The follow-up at Riot in Little China, after the sabotage fails.
- Off the Leash: A night at the Dark Matter club, where V's choices shape how Kerry deals with the fallout. A masculine V can kiss him on the balcony. See romance options for what you need.
- Boat Drinks: An afternoon on a yacht, where Kerry plays a new song and closes a chapter.
The records#
His in-universe albums include Modern Trenches (2010) and Critical Mass (2013) on Universal, then Facing the Nightmare (2021) and Second Conflict (2025) on MSM Records. The tour posters in 2079 list Warsaw, Night City, Tokyo and Prague among the stops.
Two ways to be a Samurai#
Play Kerry next to Johnny and the contrast does the work. Both had the fame and the label deals, but Kerry let himself become a business. The game never rules on whether that makes Kerry a sellout or a survivor.
Opinion: skip the shortcut and listen to a few Samurai songs and read the in-game shards before you meet him. The shower scene hits harder when you know the band. The Johnny Silverhand page has the 2020 backstory.
